Today I want to share my amazing guided visit to Colección Solo in Madrid. Located in a prime spot in the city and with free entry, this museum houses one of the most important private art collections in Spain, offering a unique experience for art lovers!
Ana Gervás and David Cantolla, the founders of Colección Solo, have gathered around a thousand works of art from artists all over the world, creating a rich and diverse collection that reflects the beauty and innovation of the global art scene.
To secure your entry, visit https://coleccionsolo.com on Mondays, exactly at noon. That is when the available dates and times for the following week are released. Don’t miss the chance to explore this incredible museum!
All visits are guided, in English or Spanish, and last approximately 50 minutes. I loved the guide’s explanations, which detailed each artwork with rich information and perfectly conveyed the emotions the artist wanted to express.
The art at Colección Solo is constantly evolving with the seasons. This means what you see during your visit may be different from what I experienced, but regardless, the experience is always amazing.
I’m going to share some of my favorite works with you. For more details on each piece, simply visit the exhibition website: https://coleccionsolo.com.
I also loved the iconic crossed-leg chair by Brazilian artist Luiz Philippe Mendonça, which adds a unique and contemporary touch to the collection.
I have always loved painting, an old hobby I haven’t returned to yet, but one that still fascinates me deeply. There’s something magical about colors, textures, and the way a blank canvas can transform into a story or a memory.
Every work of art carries a unique energy, and I felt absolutely wonderful during my visit! I highly recommend setting aside some time to explore this amazing museum, right in the heart of Madrid.
“To be an artist, you have to exist in a world of silence.”
