Terms & Conditions

CVR Travel has prepared these Terms and Conditions in a clear and straightforward manner, making transparent how our services and policies work.

By accepting these terms at the time of booking, you agree to the provisions stated in these Terms and Conditions and applicable laws. If you do not agree with any of the terms listed, please do not proceed with your booking.​​

1. General Exclusions

The purchased trip does not include expenses such as visas, vaccinations, documentation; meals not specified; tips; and personal expenses such as laundry, phone calls, etc., which are the traveler’s responsibility.

2. Specific Conditions

2.1 CVR Travel acts as an intermediary between travelers and service providers, disclaiming responsibility for any problems, losses, or damages resulting from force majeure or unforeseen events, including strikes, disturbances, quarantines, wars, natural disasters (earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, avalanches), changes, terrorism, delays and/or cancellations of transport services (air, rail, or land) due to technical, mechanical, weather-related, or other unforeseen reasons beyond CVR Travel's control.

2.2 For operational and technical reasons, CVR Travel reserves the right to make necessary changes to itineraries, hotels, services, and other elements of your trip without prejudice to the traveler. This may include changing departure dates or other details by up to one day earlier or later than originally planned. The traveler will be informed of any changes and may accept them or cancel the booking with a full refund.

 

3. Specific Conditions for Land Reservations

3.1 Booking requests must be made through the website and accompanied by a deposit of £215 per traveler or a specific amount according to the itinerary conditions. Last-minute bookings, defined as those made within 8 weeks prior to departure, require full payment of the land portion, which can be paid in up to 6 interest-free installments on a Brazilian credit card.

3.2 Payment: After service confirmation, the traveler will receive an email confirmation and have up to 5 business days to pay the balance.

 

3.3 Prices may be subject to change due to currency fluctuations and/or government regulations that affect costs.

 

3.4 Change requests made after confirmation will incur a service fee of £50 per booking.

 

3.5 Accommodation check-in starts at 3 PM, and check-out must be completed by 11 AM. Double rooms may have separate beds or not.

Triple or quadruple rooms may include sofa beds or folding beds.

 

3.6 Meal Plans: The itinerary specifies the meal plan included. Most hotels offer continental breakfast (coffee, milk, tea, butter, toast) unless otherwise stated.

3.7 Transfers and tours described as regular sightseeing services are shared with other travelers and provided in vehicles sized according to the number of passengers. One medium suitcase plus one carry-on bag per traveler is allowed; additional luggage may incur extra fees.

Transfers wait up to 40 minutes after the flight landing time. If the traveler encounters immigration or baggage issues, the transfer will not be provided, and no refund will be given.

3.8 Luggage: Travelers are responsible for their luggage and personal items. CVR Travel is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to baggage during travel, including during transfers. Claims must be made directly with the transport company. Travel insurance is strongly recommended. Allowed baggage for land excursions is one piece up to 20 kg plus carry-on.

3.9 Liability for valuables: CVR Travel is not responsible for theft or loss of documents, valuables, or personal items during the trip. Travelers should use hotel safes where available. Insurance coverage varies and usually does not cover losses in taxis, airport halls, hotel corridors, or rooms.

We advise not to carry valuables in checked luggage and to use hotel safes when possible. Never leave luggage unattended in corridors.

 

3.10 Optional activities listed in itineraries (tours, visits, restaurants) are suggestions only and are not included or guaranteed by CVR Travel.

 

3.11 No-show: If the traveler fails to appear at the hotel on the reserved dates, penalties will be charged according to hotel/provider policies plus operational costs.

General Conditions

CVR Travel operates under Brazil’s Consumer Protection Code and guidelines from the Brazilian Association of Tour Operators.

All purchases are subject to a 7-day cancellation (“right of withdrawal”) period after booking.

4. Cancellation Policy

4.1 Cancellation refers to trip or service withdrawal and date changes.

4.2 Cancellation requests must be made in writing. Penalties are based on the timing of notice:

  • Up to 90 days before departure: 30% of amount paid

  • Between 89 and 31 days before departure: 75% of amount paid

  • Less than 30 days before departure: 100% of amount paid or only refundable amounts recovered

5. Documentation Provided by CVR Travel

After full payment, CVR Travel will issue travel documents in a timely manner, sent digitally.

6. Traveler’s Responsibility for Documentation

Travelers are solely responsible for personal documents, visas, vaccinations, and valid passports. Failure to have proper documentation may result in denied boarding and cancellation penalties.

​

7. Immigration

Each country has its own entry requirements (visas, vaccines, local questionnaires). CVR Travel is not affiliated with any federal authorities and is not responsible for any issues travelers face with local immigration.

​

8. Trekking / Hiking

8.1 Health and Well-being:
Outdoor activities carry inherent risks. Participants must be physically fit and bring appropriate clothing and footwear. CVR Travel is not responsible for injuries, illnesses, death, or material damages during activities.

​

8.2 Behavior:
Participants behaving dangerously or causing discomfort may be refused entry or removed from activities without refund.

​

8.3 Luggage:
One bag up to 20 kg per person is included; additional items cost £10 each. Transfers occur 9 AM to 4 PM; luggage must be ready by 9 AM.

 

8.4 Changes and Cancellations:
CVR Travel reserves the right to make itinerary changes and will inform travelers promptly. Alternatives or refunds will be offered for substantial changes. Minor changes or circumstances beyond our control (weather, strikes, natural disasters, terrorism, etc.) are not grounds for compensation.

No refunds will be given for parts of hikes canceled due to weather.

CVR Travel is not responsible for changes made by accommodation providers but will inform travelers as soon as possible.

 

9. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend travelers purchase travel insurance covering cancellations, illnesses, losses, and activity-related risks. Coverage should start from the booking date.

10. Complaints

Complaints must be submitted in writing to CVR Travel within 30 days after service completion, in accordance with Brazilian consumer law. Failure to do so will be considered acceptance of services rendered.

​

By participating, travelers acknowledge and accept the specific program conditions.
