Today I’m sharing my visit to Mesón del Champiñón, a traditional Madrid restaurant located in the heart of the city, famous for its specialty dishes where mushrooms take center stage.

There are no outdoor tables, only indoor seating, but usually it doesn’t take long to get a spot. While mushrooms are the house specialty, the menu also features other delicious Spanish dishes, such as jamón croquetas, fried calamari, and pimientos de padrón, among others.

The sangria at Mesón del Champiñón is a big hit with customers and one of the most popular drinks in the restaurant. I had the chance to try it and can confirm it’s one of the best, refreshing, flavorful, and the perfect companion to the delicious tapas and traditional dishes. Highly recommended!

The restaurant is a hit with both locals and tourists. With a cozy, traditional atmosphere, it’s the perfect place for anyone seeking an authentic Madrid dining experience and food that wins over everyone.

If you’re in Madrid, you cannot miss this restaurant. It’s a gastronomic experience that will delight your taste buds!
