Estoril Circuit: A Day of Speed and Adrenaline at the Porsche Cup 2024

Today I want to share my unforgettable experience at Estoril Circuit! I was invited by Dr. Pedro Batista, who served as the official doctor for Brazil’s main motorsport categories in 2020 and 2021, to watch the 2024 Porsche Cup straight from the cockpit. This Brazilian motorsport championship features specially prepared Porsche Carrera cars for the track. The roar of the engines, the smell of burning tires, and the anticipation in the air made it an adrenaline-filled experience I will never forget.

I arrived around 11:30 AM, parked my car, and picked up my wristband for backstage access. Walking through the pit area, I could feel the buzz of activity all around, mechanics checking every detail, drivers focused and ready, and the hum of engines warming up. Heading straight to the track, I watched the drivers preparing for the race, the tension and excitement almost tangible in every movement.

Did you know that it was here, under a torrential downpour, that Ayrton Senna took his first Formula 1 victory? Just imagining it gives you chills!

I spent so many amazing Sundays with my parents watching Formula 1. We would sit in front of the TV, hearts racing at every turn and every burst of speed. And when it rained, it was even more exciting. We couldn’t take our eyes off the screen, waiting for Ayrton Senna to make it to the podium.

Once the race started, we went straight to the cockpit to watch on TV and cheer for the drivers. The roar of the engines, the tension in every lap, and the skill of the drivers made it impossible not to get caught up in the action. And what a performance by Célio Brasil! Every turn and overtake was pure adrenaline and excitement, a real show of speed and talent.
